Today is our first Canada Day celebrating as Canadian Citizens. It’s been almost 13 years when Ivo and I first put our feet on Canada’s ground. We are so fortunate and proud to call this beautiful country our home.
We’ve found friends who are like our family to us. We live in one of the most beautiful corners of the world surrounded by sea, mountains, endless forests, lakes and rivers. The nature is breathtaking over here.
It’s our privilege to call ourselves Canadians!

And in this beautiful corner of the world the heat wave goes on. There isn’t a better place than to cool down ourselves at the river on this special day. Eh?

I was watching my son (in the middle) getting ready for a swim during his triathlon race. It’s always a rush of various feelings for him before the race starts.
The excitement. The nerves. The competitiveness. The “will I be the fastest one?” sort of questions.
I was taking all of this above in – the excitement, the mama worries, the proud feeling of being his mom… Go, buddy, GO!

I’m ready for long evening walks during the golden hour. For chasing waterfalls from sprinklers in our neighborhood. For school routine to be out of the window for two months. For slowing down a little bit. For more time spent with my little ones.
Summer, I’m ready for you.

I saw this quote posted by my friend on Instagram today. I think people in general always wait for the “right time” and they might miss the beauty of the now. Sometimes the right time even doesn’t come.
Let’s stop waiting and try living more in the now.

Those photos above are few snapshots from this week. I love having my iPhone on hand and just capturing life on the go. It’s fast and convenient and I’m able to snap photos of things which I would normally miss because I don’t carry my big camera with me all the time.

:: this video reminds me of why I love photography.
:: this post . I’m not a religious person but a lot of stuff resonates with me from this post. I love especially this part : “Family is a verb. Family is not just what we are, it’s something that we actively keep on making”.
:: Ali’s Week in the Life. I pre-ordered the kit and can’t wait to document our week in August.
:: this shirt. Love!
:: fun stuff to do with kids. I’ve been browsing pinterest for the last couple of days for some fun ideas we can do during summer. If you have any favorite craft, please share with me.
Happy weekend!

I came across this quote last night. Such a great reminder that everything always will work out even if it doesn’t feel like it at the moment.
