take it all in

I was watching my son (in the middle) getting ready for a swim during his triathlon race. It’s always a rush of various feelings for him before the race starts.
The excitement. The nerves. The competitiveness. The “will I be the fastest one?” sort of questions.
I was taking all of this above in – the excitement, the mama worries, the proud feeling of being his mom… Go, buddy, GO!

I’m ready for long evening walks during the golden hour. For chasing waterfalls from sprinklers in our neighborhood. For school routine to be out of the window for two months. For slowing down a little bit. For more time spent with my little ones.
Summer, I’m ready for you.

So many things have changed in our everyday routine in such a short period of time. My mind is constantly racing with thoughts how we will manage.
We will get used to it, I know it.
We always do.

This little fella of ours is so energetic, loves running and won’t sit for a second but when he is calm, he loves to cuddle and gives a lot of love around.

In the middle of the challenging times, we are going through at the moment, the play of shadows on the wall just made me stop and notice the little things. It put a smile on my face as well.
Harmony and I are back with our weekly photos over at Focus on Everyday. Go check out Harmony’s take on this week’s theme.

I’m a project starter.
The excitement of a new project always gets me. Sadly, there are times (and lately it’s been quite often) when the project doesn’t get finished. Like my past two December Daily ones… The holiday season always gets so busy, I get sucked into the craziness and then I’m mad at myself that I haven’t finished documenting it all through photos and words.
Well, third time is a charm (right?). I’m giving this project another try and hopefully this time I will end up with an album full of beautiful memories. This (the photo above) is how my desk looked like on the weekend. I’m getting ready for December Daily in advance this year and hopefully this preparation will help me to finish this project. (You can read all about December Daily on Ali Edward’s blog). The photo is also my part of this week’s topic On my desk on Harmony’s and mine collaborative photoblog.
Products I will be using (among others I will come across during December):
Sn@p Album – got this one last year at Michaels during their sale for just $3.50, Sn@p pocket pages refills – various formats

Various products by Paislee Press available at the lilypad.com. I will be mixing it with more printed stuff from Liz’s digital products

Ali’s overlays (more of her brushes are still available over at designerdigitals). I have plenty of her old stuff which I will be using as overlays and wordarts on my photos.

And I will be also using other stuff from my personal stash.
I’m really excited to start. If you plan to do thisĀ project this year as well, please let me know. I would love to see how you document your holiday season.

The crisp mornings, falling leaves and beautiful colors are my favorite signs of this season. We need to enjoy this colorful beauty as much as possible because soon the rain will take over it all.

This little buddy of ours has been with us only for such a short period of time but he’s already managed to steal everyone’s heart. There is definitely a strong bond growing between these two.
My heart is full.
