almost forgotten

I haven’t scrapped for ages. Sometimes I miss it, sometimes not at all. To be honest, I don’t have time for anything creative lately. I know, it’s the usual “excuse” for people saying they don’t have time for doing something. But in this case, it’s true. There are more important things in my daily routine right now. Like taking care of kids when I get home from work, or cooking lunch or dinner. Or my morning workouts before going to work. I barely squeeze a few minutes to just read my favorite blogs. So no, no creating layouts in the past months/year(s) at all. I remember I went through a phase, back then when I was at home as stay-at-home-mom, when I scrapped almost every day. And I really enjoyed it. It was my “escape” from the everyday routine of being at home. But since I’ve started working in the fall of 2011, I think I could count the layouts I made on my one hand.
So you can imagine how surprised I was yesterday when I received an email from stampington that my layout is published in a magazine and the magazine is on its way to me. I had no idea what they were talking about. I was like: my layout? I don’t remember sending anything out in years! Today I’ve received a response from the director of publishing that they are reprinting their favorite layouts from their older issues. I have the issue from 2010 at home, there were several layouts of mine published in there and Katrin was on the cover page as well.

And this is the layout which will be published in the new issue. It’s called Follow me.

They really made my day, I must admit. How cool is to have one layout published again?! After months of not touching photoshop for scrapbooking it is really a nice surprise. I can’t wait to get the issue in mail. Patrik is little bit sad though that Katrin has been published and not him but oh well. I might start doing layouts again and send one with him for submission. Who knows..
