Happy Sunday sunny morning, everyone! Even though the roofs are white and there is fog outside, the sun is shining through and it calls for a beautiful day. It seems there are quite a few rainy days ahead so we will definitely enjoy today outside.
I had problems with signing to my blog this week due to some wordpress issues but it’s fixed now so I can blog once again. I came across a lot of inspiration this week and here are a few of my favorites:
:: simple green smoothies are going to host a 30-day green smoothie challenge in April. I would love to start making more smoothies so this seems like a perfect way to start.
:: I got my stuff for a wrap bracelet on Friday. I’ve seen several bracelets online in the stores but boy, are they expensive. So I’ve decided to give it a try and make my own. I’ve created a board on my pinterest called wrap bracelets and now I have to find out the easiest tutorial.

:: why being a mom is enough post by Rachel at finding joy
:: these project life cards by Karla Dudley. After my craft space reorganization last week, I think I’m ready to get back to my PL now.

:: adding this yoga bolster to my wish list. We used them in yoga class every week and they are amazing! My lower back always thanks me for the stretch.

The coffee is almost ready. Have a wonderful day!

Chaos is the theme of the week over at Focus on Everyday. Hop over to see what Harmony and Krystal came up with.
This looks pretty scary, doesn’t it?!

I have been planning to organize my craft/ office space stuff for way too long. Sunday was the day when I finally decided to dig through it. I took all the stuff from the baskets and boxes out and spread them all over the floor. The space was pretty chaotic for 2+hours at least. I put scrapbook papers together, ribbons and buttons and scraps of papers which can be still used in the albums. It was definitely worth the effort to sort everything out at the end.

It took me much longer to organize and sort out all the stuff than I expected but I’m glad that I finally did it. I found a lot of stuff that I’ve already forgotten about. I think I might be finally ready to jump into my project life album once again.

I put all the cards for project life together (from Midnight and Seafoam collection and some printed ones I bought as digital files). Also all the buttons and rings are sorted out now thanks to my little helper. Miss K did a great job and yay for jars from a pizza sauce. Even though the jars are hidden in the baskets, it will be much easier to locate the stuff now.

It feels good to have it finally done. I feel like new crafts and projects are on the way! Let’s the creativity begin.

I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already! It means a new prompt is up on Focus on Everyday blog. Starting this week, a new contributor, Krystal, has joined us to share her inspirational photos. The more, the merrier, right?! I was really excited to see her take on the theme this morning.
When I saw the prompt Harmony chose for this week – 6o’clock, first I had no idea what kind of photo to take. I thought I will do my morning workout photo but as I skipped the last few days of morning workouts, I knew it has to be about 6pm. Monday was a perfect day for taking photos – I got home from work and the sun was still up and shining! I took a few photos with Katrin as you could see in my last post – one on one.
Go and check out what Harmony and Krystal came up with!
If you like taking photos and would be interested in joining us over at Focus on Everyday for our weekly prompts as a regular contributor or just a guest contributor, please don’t hesitate to contact me (through the Hello | Contact me tab on the top of this page) or Harmony for more details.

Monday evenings are my favorite. It’s just me and her. Our girls time.
One on one.

Add an extra hour of a daylight and you get pure magic.

There is such a strong bond between the two of us. Mom and her little girl. Love. Forever.

Plants and flowers have been a huge part of my life. They make me happy. As a kid I had several plants in my room and loved taking care of them. My mom and I tried to plant a few seeds from a palm tree, our grandpa brought from his trip from Africa, and the palm plants actually grew inside beautifully. When Ivo and I moved together, we bought a few plants right away to make our first place feel more like home. We had a lot of indoor plants while we lived in Ontario but when we decided to move to British Columbia, we couldn’t take the big plants with us and we gifted them to our friends and neighbors.
We’ve had a few plants in our current house but not as many as I would like to. I asked Ivo for a plant (not flowers) for my B-day and was gifted with this one. Isn’t it beautiful?

Today while the air smelled like spring and flies and bees were flying outside, I decided to buy a few new plants and give some love to the ones we already have by re-planting them into bigger pots.

At first I didn’t know what kind of plants I want but then I bought these four :

My mom had oxalis at home for many years and I remember that everyone liked it a lot. We gifted the new sprouts to so many people. I think at one point at least 6-8 our closest friends and family members had one at home and every time we visited their places and I saw those plants, it brought a smile to my face. Now I have finally my own here in Canada as well.

This one below is going to stand in front of our fireplace. It will make such a nice contrast against the stone wall of the fireplace.

Katrin liked this one so it ended up in her room right away.

Even our kitchen window sill is full of plants. Unfortunately it isn’t too deep and we have to be really careful while closing the blinds. If it was just a little bit wider, I would put more planters up there for sure.

This one is one of the ones I bought today. This window in our living room is such a perfect spot for it.

This ficus below is actually one of the two plants we took from our house in Ontario. It was much smaller but it still took the whole height of our car. But it was definitely worth the transport.

Now all I need is a warm weather so I can go outside and dig my fingers into the soil and do some gardening. I so can’t wait!

Photography is a huge part of my life. I love to capture our life through the lens. I also love to go through photography books and get inspiration and tips how to improve my way of taking photos. I have a few books at home and some on my wish list as well. Here are some of my favorite:
:: Elevate the Everyday by Tracey Clark – this was my firs photography book I bought. I’ve been following Tracey’s blog for a few years now and admire her sense for capturing the little details of everyday life.

:: Expressive Photography by Shutter Sisters – this is a collaborative book of the Shutter Sisters. Again, the little details of everyday life photography are just amazing. There are so many little corners and details at your home that you pass several times a day but I bet you’ve never stopped and just looked at them in a different angle.

:: A Beautiful Mess Photography Book by Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman – I got this book for Christmas and haven’t got through the whole book.

:: Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson – Bryan explains in a very simple way the technique of taking photos, how to set up your camera and what settings to use where and when. The book is full of beautiful examples with description.

:: A Year of Mornings:: 3191 Miles Apart by Maria Vettesse and Stephanie Congdon Barnes – this is the only book I don’t own from today’s list and is on my wish list. Maria and Stephanie has a collaborative blog called 3191 miles apart and the book is a beautiful summary of their collaborative work.

Do you have a favorite photo book? If yes, please share with me.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

I saw the movie Frozen with Katrin before Christmas and both of us enjoyed it so much. Here is a great and fun interpretation of the song Let it go from this movie performed by Idina Menzel, The Roots and Jimmy Fallon. Enjoy and happy Friday!
