This was a view from our bedroom window this morning.

Makes up for a good start of the day, doesn’t it? Now just to get my cup of coffee and I’m ready!
Good morning, everyone!

It has been snowing for the last three days over here but until today, the snow wasn’t staying on the ground with the temperatures being slightly above zero. Today, the whole day at work I was watching snowflakes falling down and I wished I could go out and play. When I got home, it was dark already but Katrin and I decided to have some fun outside anyway while Patrik and Ivo were at Patrik’s cycling practice. We shoveled the snow first.

Then we went inside to have a dinner and went back to make a snowman.

The evening was pretty magical.

After I missed the last weekend’s favorites, I’m back with a new inspiration Ifound this week.
:: I’m so in love with Sarah’s photography aka My Four Hens. She isn’t just an amazing photographer but she also creates awesome actions. I use her actions all the time and this week just got her new Memento set and I can’t wait to play.
:: speaking about photography, this quote says it perfectly why people love black & white photography:
When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black and white, you photograph their souls.
~ Ted Grant

:: I’m a huge fan of Liz’s clean designs. She just came up wit this new photo template pack called pictures + words no. 9. It’s perfect for documenting life in a simple way.

Hope these choices above have inspired you to do something creative in the upcoming days.

My dear friend Harmony and I play every week with different prompts on our collaborative photo blog. This week theme is perspective. We’ve added words to our photos this year and I love reading the stories behind them. This is my take for this week:

I prefer to be behind the camera instead of being in front of it but I do love photos with my kids together. Even though this photo was taken with stretched arm in a poor light, I still love it. It captures our special girls’ time and that’s what counts the most.
Check out the blog for Harmony’s story.

There is no doubt that I love music. And I mean I LOVE listening to music. Especially in the car while driving. On my way to work. OUT. LOUD. Sometimes it’s funny how get the look in a back mirror from the person in front of me or beside me while I wait at the red light. I bet my car is jumping a little bit from the music and they can hear it. Oh well.
I thought I will share from time to time my current favorite songs. So here we go:
:: OneRepublic – Counting stars
:: Walk Off The Earth – Gang of Rhytm
: Lorde – Team
:: American Authors – Best Day of My Life
:: Passenger – Let her go
Enjoy!
P.S. Don’t forget to put the volume UP!

My Behind the Lens page is still a work in progress but I’m getting closer to the image of what it should look like. I love to have my favorite photos at one place. Every time when I look at those captured moments, so many memories come up right away.
My dear friend, Nancie Rowe Janitz, created this new handwritten logo for me. I just love how unique it looks and I treasure it even more because it was done by her hand. Thank you so much, Nan!
Photography is a huge passion of mine and I hope you will enjoy looking at my photos as well.

This week I came across a lot of amazing blog posts.
:: like this one from Andrea Scher You are beautiful. I love her powerful story and how honest this whole story is. It is also a part of Susannah Conway’s The (delicious) truth about getting older series. So far I’ve read stories from Andrea, Tracy Clark, Liz Lamoreux and Ali Edwards and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of those brave and inspiring stories.
:: this one from Rachel about 20 things she will never forget to do with her kids. So many of those things hit the home and made me realize that I need to slow down and enjoy more the little everyday stuff.
:: this video: a letter to a person on their first day here by SoulPancake
:: we are in need for a new carpet under our coffee table and I’ve had my eye on this rug for quite some time. I love West Elm and their style!

:: and I think this coffee table would go perfectly with it as well. I actually saw it in person when I was in the store last time and loved it so much.

When I worked in downtown in Vancouver, I went to the West Elm store so many times to find inspiration (and to Anthropologie as well). I just wish the furniture and accessories were a little bit cheaper there.
:: love all the mornings like these photos. so creative.
:: totally in love with lauren rosenbaum’s photography. this is exactly the kind of photography I like, spontaneous everyday moments.
Is there anything what has caught your eye this week?
