I’ve been checking our mailbox for a few days now and finally this little box has just arrived today. I felt like a little kid on a Christmas day while I was pulling the box out of our mailbox. I love all the stuff which is included and can’t wait to start putting my project life album together (once again after a loong break).
I will be also using Liz’s Midnight Edition and Elise’s Seafoam Edition together with printables from various designers and resources and plan on making my own journaling cards using digital stamps and brushes from my scrapbooking stash.

I’ve got these cute cards (free download) from Studio Calico this week and can’t wait to incorporate them into the album.
I am really excited to start fresh.
And I really think it is time to be awesome, don’t you think?

Today my sweet little girl woke up as an eight year old.
She couldn’t wait to start her big day; she was up at 5.47am tiptoeing downstairs and making sure she won’t wake up anyone. When I came downstairs, she had a huge grin on her face and I could tell that she is really excited that today is her Birthday.
When the boys came too, we wished her a Happy Birthday and gave her her gifts. She always seems to be very shy on the outside but I knew that on the inside she was bursting with joy.

I still remember the day when she was born and the doctor handed her to me, just a few seconds after she took her first breath, how beautifully she smelled. A brand new bundle of joy, love and happiness. Pure perfection. She supposed to sleep in the hospital bassinet but I kept her in my bed instead and we both knew that we will be inseparable. She still loves to climb into my lap and find the perfect spot for a cuddle. She fits there just right.
She has such a big heart.
She always thinks about others first. She would share her last skittle if someone asked her to do so.
She is very kind, sensitive and artistic.
She knows how to run fast and she enjoys it.
She is a huge animal lover.
She is the light of our lives.

Happy Birthday, my sweet little Katrin!
I love you from the bottom of my heart. To the moon and back a billion times.
Yours forever,
mami

So far it’s the low branches who carry the weight of those little tomatoes. In a few weeks the plants will get bigger and stronger and will bring us beautiful red tomatoes.
I can barely wait.

Patrik is attending three races in a stretch of four days and today was his race number two. The temperatures went above 30 deg of Celsius and I really admired all the youngsters for their strength to race on such a hot day.
This little man has the same determination as his dad; when he wants something, he goes for it. He is definitely a strong competitor.
Today he raced his heart out in the extreme hot weather and we couldn’t be more proud of him!
Way to go, Patrik!! Way to go!

I barely remember the last time when I opened photoshop and created layout just because I felt like doing something creative.
Last week during our coffee date with Harmony we talked about passion and our creative minds and I told her that I haven’t been feeling creative lately at all. It’s like being in a funk and don’t know how to get out of it. We both agreed on doing some fun projects together in a future to keep the creativity flowing (stay tuned!) and to get inspired and most importantly – to get excited about the whole process of creating once again. I really needed this conversation with her, she is my dear friend and always knows how to lift my spirits. I’ve decided to explore the “almost forgotten” love of mine (memory keeping) once again and spent some time browsing pinterest this week to get my creative mojo going.
At the beginning of my “scrapping days” back in 2006, I had a few fellow scrapbookers whose work I admired so much and knew once I will be in a need for inspiration, I can browse their galleries to get some ideas for my layouts. I loved loved (and still do even though none of these ladies design or scrapbook any more) work of Two Sisters designs – Angela and Emily Powers. Their style of creativity was amazing. Their digital kits and layouts were always so fun and full of modern and eclectic elements and so many unexpected details. I took a few ideas of my favorite layouts of theirs and put together this page above called Do you remember? I dug my old stash of scrapbooking supplies and discovered so many goodies! (note to myself: dear me, please explore the archives of stash more often. You will love it!).
Well, I think after this experience, I will open the photoshop more often now.
Some of the supplies used (many of these supplies are long time retired): background paper is mine from Simple basics paper pack; Paislee Press – Chasing the Sun; Say Yes To; Two Sisters Designs – Artist canvas, Falling leaves; Emily Powers – Funky labels; Amber Clegg – stamped alpha; Emily Merritt – Painted on; Karla Dudley – Life Recorded, Digital Essentials

Friday! It’s finally here!! Even though it has been a short-working week this week, the four days seemed way too long. But the weekend is finally here! Let’s celebrate it with some inspiration.
:: who wouldn’t love to go to an ice-cream party? The invitation couldn’t be any cuter! I think I will incorporate the printables into my project life page
:: I ordered Penny Arcade Project life kit from Studio Calico this week to test it out. I can’t wait to receive it and play with it!

:: these little paper banners are so adorable. Such a cool idea!
:: Ali Edwards is creative genius. I love how she did her journaling on this photo

:: I love love this design of this layout with one big photo on the side. So awesome!
Can you tell that I really miss scrapbooking? I think it’s time to dust off the photoshop and get back to memory keeping…
